We all know someone… someone who sacrifices for others, who helps at all costs, who gives of themselves without complaint over and over again. Though they never seem to slow down, that doesn’t mean they aren’t tired, and that they don’t need a little help sometimes too.
I do believe in angels, but I don’t think they look like this. It’s about the best a cartoonist like myself can do to get the idea across–the idea that the helpers and heroes of our day are an often overlooked gift; like a visible representation of their invisible counterparts, and they need help too.
I believe they get that supernatural help to carry on in a special way, but sometimes that supernatural help needs a face they can see. Reach out to the helpers you know and see how they are doing. Be there for them. You might be surprised how much they need someone like you.
