Ran across a Bob Ross quote this week that I really liked. He said “Talent is pursued interest”. I look at it this way: the one who starts with little to no natural ability but practices every day will always go further than someone with natural ability who never tries.
Slightly related, those who have natural ability will be the first to tell you how much they didn’t realize they didn’t know until they put down their preconceived ideas and started learning to learn.
Practice makes progress.
You’ll never know how far you can go until you start moving.
