Apparently otters are one of very few marine animals known to use tools. Which of course makes me wonder… what other marine animals use tools? I hope it’s not octopus. And I hope it’s not chainsaws that they use.
Otters often balance rocks on their bellies and smash mussels against them to break them open to eat. While this looks super cute to me, I don’t think the mussels find it quite as endearing.
