Drawn for Inktober the 25th, prompt: “splat”.

Elephants are a fascinating animal to me. I once worked on a construction project at a zoo in the elephant exhibit and I loved watching them play. The baby elephants reminded me of puppies.

Apparently an elephant has somewhere around 100,000 muscles, 40,000 of them in their trunk. I remember one of the requirements on the project was to not have any bolts within so many feet of the area where the elephants were because they were actually able to unscrew them with their trunks.

Anyone ever seen one up close (other than at the zoo)? I’ve also heard that even in the wild they are very gentle creatures…
