The blurry background feature on video calls is interesting to me. I get it… no one wants to see your messy house—or rather, no one wants their messy house to be seen. But let’s be real: who doesn’t have chaotic shelves, piles of unorganized junk lying around, and socks hanging from their ceiling fan?
I think our authentic backgrounds are so much more interesting than the version we would rather people see. Each of them, while completely unique, all have one thing in common: they aren’t perfect. But so what? That’s the real you, and it’s much more interesting, much more beautiful, and much more impactful than the blurry version.
