Saw these two friends chatting on the streets of Bethesda when I was there a couple weeks ago. It wasn’t until I was drawing them that I noticed something very peculiar.
Neither had a phone in sight.
Now, I’m the last person who would have any place to preach about the distractions of our little pocket prisons, so I’ll just say it was very refreshing to see two friends so connected and genuinely interested in one another.
I’d love to see it more often. Perhaps I would if I tried looking up from the screen once in a while.
