Regarding imperfections, or what I like to call them: the texture of life…

If you’re an artist of any kind you probably understand that imperfection brings life into your work. Carpenters purposefully stress wood, musicians seek out analog tones, photographers look for glare and effects that make digital work look more like film, videographers add noise, scratches, and blur. All these things give art its texture.

So it is with life.

Our imperfections, though we don’t always realize it, are exactly what give us that special distinction. Be it wrinkles, freckles, unruly hair, crooked teeth, poor sight; we can chose to view our little defects as faults or flavors.

I chose flavor. That extra bit of seasoning that makes the entree of life just right.
