Lately at work I’ve found myself often saying “don’t worry, I have thick skin.” To which the narrator in my head immediately responds “he does not, in fact, have very thick skin at all.
But one can pretend.
I suppose courage could be considered one of those fake it til you make it type of traits. And I do a whole lot of faking.
