Ever been surprised that someone would actually WANT to talk to YOU? Maybe this sounds whiny, but I have a lot of conflict in my line of work and get pretty exhausted by it, so from time to time I’m actually caught off guard when I realize there are people in my life that enjoy having a conversation with me for conversation’s sake.
As I write this I realize I’ve taken for granted the simple things and it’s only through the hard things that I come to appreciate those seemingly insignificant interactions with friends and family.
What does that have to do with a mermaid and an octopus?
