You know what we humans really stink at? Facts. Ironically though, it’s super popular right now to tout just how much our particular tribe adheres to the facts. The other side, of course, does not. The other side is biased. If only they knew the real facts, maybe then they would see things our way.
Well, I’m going to let you all in on a little known fact of my own… everyone is biased.
Everyone bends reality.
Everyone sees through the lens of their own experience.
Even you. Even me.
Perhaps if we recognize this it could help us to listen a little better, to be a little more empathetic, to see a different perspective.
And maybe then we could see the whole picture.
